​Introducing Ava, a six-year-old female black and tan Doberman looking for her forever home on Facebook! Ava is good with other dogs, cats, and kids over the age of 10. She is housebroken, crate trained, and does amazing when left alone. 

While Ava needs help with leash walking as she tends to pull, she is a quick learner and will do great once she gets the hang of it. She loves car rides and cuddling, and is described as a Velcro dog who prefers hanging out with her humans rather than running around with other dogs. 

Due to her older age and previous experiences, it's best for Ava to be in a home with older children. She is a free feeder who eats when she's ready, so she needs a home where her food won't be taken by other dogs. 

Ava is afraid of thunderstorms and will hide during storms, but gets extra panicky and barks if crated during storms. She is on medication for her back leg injury and arthritis, but with the right treatment, she can live a normal life. (her current foster will provide more information on this to potential adopters)

*Since we are 100% volunteer based, we ask for a $25 application fee to determine if the adopter is seriously interested in going through with an adoption. Adoption fees are as follows: 
Puppies up to 1 year- $450 
Dogs 1-7 years-$350 
Seniors 7+ $200 and 
Mixed dogs- $200
