When we met this sweet lady we thought she might have Wobblers. A pinching of the spinal cord that can be painful and is degenerative over time. Turns out, with the help of a wonderful Neurologist we now know she has Cerebellar Hypoplasia.
In layman's terms, the part of her brain that controls motor function is under developed. Her movements are uncoordinated and she walks around looking like a drunk bobble head at times. The wonderful news is that this should not shorten her life at all. In fact, she literally has no clue there is anything wrong with her. She has her special kangaroo hop and run, she loves to chase her foster siblings, suckle blankets and is obsessed with peanut butter. Before she finds her perfect home, she needs to undergo 6 weeks of physical therapy to help her get strong and walking better. Her total cost of treatment will be around $1200. That is where you come in, because of wonderful people like you we can help her have the best second chance in life possible.
