How You Can Help
Volunteer State Doberman Rescue operates through generous donations from dog lovers in Tennessee and the surrounding areas. The process of pulling a dog from a shelter or an owner until it gets into a forever home can be costly. A standard intake vet appointment with spay/neuter runs between $150-$200. If a dog comes in with heartworms (very common 1-4) it can cost an additional $200+ for treatment.
A rescues income comes mainly from adoption fees, monthly and one-time donations, occasional grants and funds, and shoppers reward programs.

Transportation Needs
As we pull dogs from shelters throughout Tennessee and surrounding states, dependable transporters are needed. Being a transporter is a great way to help without the commitment of fostering. Please fill out the transportation form and we will contact you when we have a dog needing transported in your area. You can also keep an eye on our FB page for transport needs. |
Administration Needs
If you are more computer literate and want to help, there are remote computer tasks available. Data entry of incoming dogs, adoption processes and maintaining vet records are a few. Please fill out the Contact Us form and we’ll get in touch with you. |
